RIKEN has a collaborative graduate school system under which RIKEN researchers serve as visiting professors, associate professors, etc. at universities and are involved in research guidance and thesis review for graduate students (doctoral to master's degree programs). This program is open to students (including prospective students) enrolled in graduate schools that have concluded collaborative agreements with RIKEN, and to students (including prospective students) enrolled in doctoral programs at graduate schools that conduct joint research with RIKEN researchers, who can obtain permission from their graduate schools to receive research guidance at RIKEN CBS.
